Determined to show that fitness doesn’t have an age limit, one active senior is getting ready to roll through the finish line after a cross-country cycling adventure of a lifetime.
Carol Zemola Garsee, a 77-year-old grandmother and breast cancer survivor, embarked on a 10-week cycling journey in February from Florida to California. Garsee will arrive in San Diego on Thursday, more than 3,000 miles from where she started in St. Augustine.
“I thank God each day for giving me the good health and stamina to participate in this adventure,” said Garsee on Day 53 of her trip.
Inspired by her mother who cycled well through her 70s, Garsee is a devoted rider herself. What began as a practical way to get to work soon became an enjoyable hobby. Garsee began taking long-distance biking trips with friends and cycling groups, including tours through Italy and Canada. She also competed in a biathlon.
“Like bike riding, I’ve always been dedicated to maintaining a healthy lifestyle,” Garsee reveals. “It’s important to me to show people that it’s never too late to start and maintain a healthy routine with a balanced diet and exercise. There are endless benefits to being fit at any age.”
Throughout her time on the road, Garsee has relied on Boiron homeopathic medicines for relief, including Arnicare Gel for muscle pain and stiffness and Calendula Cream for skin irritations like windburn and saddle sores.*
You can follow Garsee’s journey week by week by visiting the Wellness Center at Arnicare.com.

Hi. What is available for cancer particular breast? Any suggestions? Thanks
Hello Liz, there are homeopathic protocols to relieve the side effects of cancer treatments. There may be a homeopathic treatment that addresses your symptoms, but we recommend consulting a practitioner knowledgeable in homeopathy. If you do not have a practitioner, please contact the National Center for Homeopathy at info@homeopathycenter.org or visit http://www.homeopathycenter.org. We recommend you always communicate possible alternative or complementary treatments with your medical team. They can contact us if they have questions about our medicines.
